How Does Jogging In A Pool Compare To Jogging On Land?

I am curious if jogging in a pool is equivalent to jogging on land for exercise purposes. Which burns more calories? Are the benefits the same. I don’t like to swim laps so I jog in place or tread water in the deep end.

jogging in water it harder as you have the weight of the water slowing you down making it hard to run it will burn more calories for sure but its hard as hell the bottom of pools are very slippy and you really dont get any where for you effort but it works so go for it.
try swim a lap then jog a lap this will use more muscle movement so it doesnt hurt as much
    good luck

Theres more water resistance and so you will burn a few more calories, but it differs because it puts less stress on your limbs, and ensures that your joints stay strong and un-injured.

You will burn more calories jogging in a pool because of the resistance of the water
